Panel discussions
A collaborative approach to the best in scientific sessions.
Urological experts worldwide joined in for panel discussions during the AUA2021 virtual Annual Meeting.
“Panel Discussion: COVID and Sexual Medicine” described the potential relationship between COVID-19 and sexual morbidity. COVID-19 may be increasingly relevant as a source of long-term vascular morbidity, including erectile dysfunction, according to panel experts. COVID-19 can also directly affect testicular tissue and decrease serum testosterone levels.
Another panel discussion “Faculty Development in the Covid-19 Era: How to Optimally Meet ACGME Requirements” looked at faculty development from three perspectives—resident education and evaluation, patient safety and quality improvement, and scholarship and mentoring—and concluded with a presentation on Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-focused teaching evaluation forms.
