The seventh annual Residents Bowl will be held at AUA2018 in San Francisco, California. The contest promises to be as exciting as in past years as our international residents compete alongside residents from the eight AUA Sections to battle for the 2018 championship.
The Residents Bowl is a competition during which teams of residents representing each Section compete against each other to answer urology quizzes. Developed by AUA Past Secretary Dr. Gopal H. Badlani and the AUA Residents Committee, the competition was designed to increase Section pride, provide a social event with resident involvement and encourage camaraderie among residents from different programs.
Dr. Gary J. Faerber will once again moderate the event, along with the AUA Section Secretaries who have committed their time as judges. The Residents Bowl will take place in the Science & Technology Hall at the Moscone Convention Center as follows:
- Saturday, May 19: 12:30–1:30 pm and 2:45–4 pm (Preliminaries)
- Sunday, May 20: 12:30–1:30 pm (Semifinals)
- Monday, May 21: 12:30–1:30 pm (Finals)
The winning Section will be honored with an AUA Residents Bowl trophy and each participant of the winning Section will receive a smaller trophy.
Stop by Booth 1909 in the Science & Technology Hall and cheer on the residents! Only one team will be champion!
Thank you to our partners in education, Cook Medical and Karl Storz, for their continued support of this program.
