As President of the AUA, I invite you to the 113th Annual Meeting of the American Urological Association in San Francisco, California.
I am excited to return to San Francisco, one of my favorite cities, for an outstanding scientific program, social events, and a time to network with friends and colleagues. The Annual Meeting will take place at the Moscone Center, located in the “urban heart” of San Francisco’s downtown district.
The American Urological Association remains the world’s premier service organization for urologists and the Annual Meeting is the highlight of the AUA.
The Saturday morning Prime Time plenary session will feature the Ramon Guiteras Lecture at 9:25 am on Translating a Trillion Points of Data into Therapies, Diagnostics and New Insights into Disease by Dr. Atul Butte from the University of California, San Francisco. This lecture is the perfect segue to my AUA Presidential Address titled Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and the Future of Urology, which will be delivered at 10:55 am. I will discuss how big data, artificial intelligence, automation and minimally invasive technology might shape the future of urological practice.
Next at 11:15 am, Dr. Frederic Moll, one of the pioneers of our current robotic system, will provide an update on robotic technology and robotics of the future in his state-of-the-art lecture on Disruptive Technology and the Shape of Surgery: The Drone Wars.
I look forward to a very exciting and productive meeting in San Francisco and I hope to see you all in May.
