The annual Residents Forum will be held from 7–11 am Sunday, May 20, in Moscone West, Room 2018.
An exciting program has been planned to include a primer for residents on public policy and advocacy in urology, featuring Drs. Christopher M. Gonzalez and James M. Dupree. There will also be a timely roundtable discussion on “Wellness, Burnout and Sustaining Your Career” led by Drs. Deborah J. Lightner, Amanda C. North and Hadley M. Wood.
For the 24th year, Roger Bonds, MBA, FMSD, CMSR, will present on “Contract Negotiations and What Residents Need to Know.” There will then be two award presentations for the AUA Residents and Fellows Committee Teaching Award, as well as presentation of the awards for the inaugural AUA Residents and Fellows Committee Essay Contest.
An additional roundtable will be held on the “Evolving Practice of Urology,” featuring Drs. Chandy S. Ellimoottil, Eugene Y. Rhee and Grannum R. Sant. Attendees will also get to hear important updates for residents from the AUA Office of Education and the AUA Young Urologists Committee to round out the program.
In addition to the experts’ presentations, the Forum will include a free breakfast, lunch and a raffle drawing for those in attendance. The AUA also continues to offer a travel stipend for the first 110 qualified residents who register and attend the Forum.
